Chakra translates to “wheel” in Sanskrit. When our Chakras are opened and aligned, our energy can flow freely throughout our bodies. 

There are seven (7) main chakras that flow from the base of the spine to the top of the head. 

The 1st Chakra, Root Chakra, or Muladhara, can be found at the base of the spine. When our Root Chakra is blocked you may experience feelings of instability. When it is open, you may feel stable and grounded. Red Jasper

The 2nd Chakra, Sacral Chakra, or Swadhisthana, is located at the lower abdomen. When our Sacral Chakra is blocked you may experience a lack of creativity, desire, or sensuality. When is is open, you may feel creative and passionate. Yellow Calcite

The 3rd Chakra, Solar Plexus, or Manipura, resides in the upper abdomen. When our solar Plexus is blocked you may experience self-doubt and fear. When it is open you may feel empowered and ready to take on the world. Tiger Eye

The 4th Chakra, Heart Chakra, or Anahata, is nestled in the center of the chest. It is the bridge to all Chakras. The Heart chakra signifies Unconditional Love, When the Heart Chakra is blocked you may experience feelings of unworthiness, you may find it difficult to love yourself, and it may be hard to let go and forgive. When the Heart Chakra is open, you may begin to experience life from a new perspective, you may experience new loving thoughts about yourself and others. Compassion, love, and forgiveness may become easier to express as this Chakra becomes more developed. Green Aventurine 

The 5th Chakra, Throat Chakra, or Vishudda, is located in the throat area. When the Throat Chakra is blocked it may be difficult to express yourself freely to you and others. When it is open, The Throat Chakra allows us to use our voice and speak our truth fearlessly. Sodalite

The 6th Chakra, Third Eye, or Ajna, is located between the eyebrows. When the Third Eye chakra is blocked it may be difficult for you to focus, you may have a hard time making decisions and trusting your intuition. When it is open you may experience clarity as your intuitive senses become stronger. Lapis Lazuli 

The 7th Chakra, Crown Chakra, or Sahasara, is positioned at the top of the head. The Crown Chakra connects us to one Divine Source. When the Crown Chakra is blocked you may feel disconnected with your Divine Spirit, praying and meditating can also be difficult. When your Crown Chakra is balanced, aligned, and healed you may begin to experience a greater sense of the Divine. Communicating with spirit comes with ease.
